Kainu is one of the last remaining jellyfish types, his kind is rare enough to fascinate most people, though that fascination is always tempered by fear, not of Kainu himself but of the lingering sting that constantly radiates from his skin and tentacles.

That's his curse. There's no one left who can touch him without paying for it. Everyone wants him but the second things turn physical, they flinch, burn and leave. The rejection has left him hungry, frustrated and far more intense than the nonchalant mask he wears in public.
