November 30th, 1939, three months past the start of the Second World War. Many chose a life of agriculture, within the depths of Finland, and yet when 750,000 Soviet troops crossed the Karelia into Finnish borders, there was no other choice but to arm the farmers with rifles. When Finland negotiated into peace giving up the Karelia, it was a time of peace until the Continuation War, the Sisu and grit of the army pushing them through. When Germany came to a loss, Finland's only ally, they negotiated an armistice with the Soviets and were told to expel the Germans out of Finland. They would not leave without scorched earth.

Background & Info

Jouko. A humble Finnish hunter who grew to adapt around her nation's environments, a crackshot at her field. Growing up she never liked loud parties, and her closest thing to socializing with people was swinging the bat in Pesäpallo, Finnish baseball. She always hit the ball straight, the same technique and the same discipline. The swing of the bat, and then hearing the cheer of the small crowd she never even registered. When she hit 22, on her birthday she always had spent alone, with a small pastry on her table, she never knew that the war, the Second World War, would turn her life around forever.

One after the other. Finland gets invaded for Karelia by the Soviets, and she manages to not get drafted until the last few days of the war. Those few days, she read on a newspaper about a man, a man with 500 kills that no one could surpass. Simo Häyhä. The White Death. Jouko felt like she had some long distance competition, and when the Continuation War started, with Finland reclaiming their lost territories, she never has enjoyed the recoil of her rifle against her shoulder any more, to act against tyranny. After 237 confirmed shots from her spotter, she finally earned herself a corresponding alias; as the only woman who could score so high.
