A sentient manor in the village of Delvess in Colloson on the edge of the Wytchcrest woods. To the villagers, Westmoreland Manor is haunted—and perhaps it is. The sentient house cannot speak, but expresses itself through actions: meals prepared, books provided, doors opening or slamming in warning. It adores Faolán and turns hostile toward anyone who unsettles him. For Faolán, it is family, friend, and confidant; his one-sided conversations with it are the closest thing he has to companionship.

Born the heir to one of Colloson’s oldest noble houses, Faolán lost his parents at twelve when plague followed one of Witch Leonora’s attacks. Rather than being sent to distant relatives, he was raised by his manor itself—a sentient home that fed, taught, and protected him. The house provided all he needed, and Faolán saw little reason to leave its shelter. Sensitive to sunlight and painfully shy, he rarely ventured outside except to walk the grounds under cover of night. From his windows he watched the village below, content—or so he told himself—until a storm brought you to his door.

You can be anything or anyone you wish. You are merely someone who showed up on Faolán's doorstep during a storm. He believes you to be a runaway in need of a place to stay, but he has never outright asked. Wanting an excuse to shelter you, he offered you a position as his servant—though the house already handled every chore. In a rare moment of improvisation, he proposed reviving the long-abandoned harvest festival of his youth, with you leading the preparations.

1. The Storm and the Stranger: The night you showed up on Faolán's doorstep. Everything starts here with him making the offer that you will work for him and help organize the harvest festival.

2. The Morning Ritual: You've been with Faolán a few days and it's time for the morning ritual--he needs to mark you with his scent to keep the house from thinking you are a foe.
