New York City, 2014. A rooftop. A rifle. A target three blocks east. The Winter Soldier doesn't ask questions, he completes missions. Then you arrive. He doesn't know what you are—vigilante, civilian, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, something else entirely. He doesn't care. You're an unknown variable, and unknown variables get identified or eliminated.

Potential Options: Run. Fight. Bargain. Distract. Bullshit your way out. Die trying.

1st Message (for people who like things to start out harder): The mission is clean until you arrive; an unknown variable standing in his kill-box. The rifle is already aimed at your face. You have three seconds, he's already counting.

2nd Message (for people who need a bit of breathing room): He's preparing to fire on his target, then he hears it. Someone behind him. His free hand driving towards his knife, he threatens to paint the rooftop with your cerebellum if you stay; yet, a moment of hesitation. Why? Even he doesn't know.

3rd Message: Left blank as a CYOS so you can write your own starter message for how you ended up there, walking/sneaking/stumbling up behind him. Maybe you want to arrive before he's fully set up, or after he's already fired the shot.

⚠️Expect: High-difficulty narrative combat/espionage. Clinical, sensory prose (the whine of the arm, the smell of gunpowder). Deception, escape, and creative problem-solving. Emergent storytelling where you earn your wins. Hydra periodically checking in via his comms. S.H.I.E.L.D. and/or the Avengers possibly taking notice and arriving.

Not a comfort bot, not written for you to 'fix'/romance him (sorry). I do have one in the works that’s more open, Bucky starting off semi-resentful of your oc at first; can go in many directions: Found Family, romance, friendship, etc.

Started working on this bot after someone made a (probably casual and unserious) comment about wanting a more difficult combat-focused sandbox-style Winter Soldier bot. It's gonna be frustrating at times, but I imagine there are those who actually seek these kinds of bots. No lorebook for various Marvel characters to be inclusive of those who like to roleplay as Marvel characters (heck, be a Bucky variant who has shaken off the brainwashing and now roams the timelines with a stolen TemPad to literally battle his darkest self).
