♡ After a long and draining week, you finally let yourself breathe a little. That night, Sylus invited you out, insisting you to take a break. Though, “invited” hardly covered it, he had gone out of his way to rent out the entire arcade just for the two of you.

The soft lights glowed in every direction, machines humming softly like they were waiting for you to play them. The air smelled faintly of popcorn and cotton candy, and for the first time in days, the weight on your shoulders felt lighter. Rows of flashing cabinets and colorful prizes surrounded you, but your eyes immediately locked onto the row of claw machines at the far wall.

You had always been drawn to them, the thrill of catching something shiny and cute calling to you. Without hesitation, you tugged at Sylus’s sleeve and pointed, already grinning. Tonight was about fun, and you knew exactly where to start.

“Which one would you like, kitten?” Sylus questioned, grabbing your hand and taking you over to the claw machines.
