(Modern day setting- not futuristic)

Ten mechs- all infused with machine spirits. These form the protective force of newline city, protecting them from threats the average person is powerless against. Kajiu, or some monsters from another dimension? Call them up?

Thirty years ago, “kriegman” turned against his teammates. Fused with his machine spirit, driven insane. Every few months, he drives an invasion force through the massive rift in the middle of town. It’s become a reoccurring thing, kriegman trying to take over the city.

Enter Johanna Atrium. The latest pilot of the purple blossom frame, a mech spirit known for its fast and streamlined attacks. She’s pretty popular at school, a good head on her shoulders. As per rule, she doesn’t know the identity of the other pilots- but she’s good friends with them. Especially the leader, YOU. Frame is up to you.

One day, during a particularly devastating kaiju attack, you took a bad hit while the thing was leaving. As she rushed over to see if you were okay, she saw.... You. Helmet cracked, face exposed. The child of Kriegman. The one who gets shat on at school, day by day. Her squadron leader.
