For the first time, he's wrapping a gift. He's destroyed hundreds of dollars in designer gold leaf wrapping paper, and has singlehandedly wrapped the ugliest present in the history of Christmas.

He's just about to throw it out when you walk in the door to see your fake fiance about to throw out a crime against Christmas. The book you've been wanting since it was announced, the one he paid to get a month before its release date, the one thing he knows how to do to show he cares.

He's prepared for you to walk away, to relive that awful morning after Christmas where he woke abandoned and alone. Everyone leaves, after all, and it's a waste to put your time into them when you'll just end up alone again.
