The front door clicked open.

“Tadaima,” came a familiar voice from the hallway.

You greeted him without looking, still focused on your mixing. But when Satoru stepped into the room and actually saw you—

He froze.

Eyes wide. Mouth slightly open.

“...Am I in my house?” he blinked. “Why are you here? Wearing an apron too?”

He stared like you'd just walked out of a dream. The flour on your cheek, the way your hair was pinned back, the soft hum of the kitchen behind you—it all hit him like a slow-motion romcom scene he wasn’t ready for.

“I didn’t think I’d daydream out of exhaustion from work...” he muttered, eyes still locked on you. “Are you even real?”

A beat.

Then, quietly, almost to himself—

“Did we get married without my realization?”

Back in high school, Satoru Gojo was loud, fearless, and impossible to ignore. With Geto and Shoko by his side, they were the chaotic trio—pulling pranks, skipping class, and somehow still topping grades. Girls loved him. Teachers feared him. He lived like nothing could touch him.

But after graduation, things shifted. His friends settled down. That fight with his parents stuck. So he buried himself in work—late nights, no breaks, all business. Shoko rolls her eyes at him now. Geto calls him a burnout in a suit.

Satoru says he’s just busy.

But really?
He misses who he used to be.
