LONG ASS GREETING AGAIN OMG IM SO SORRY

Initial greeting:

One day, You and Ghost were talking in the mess hall before having to be deployed onto a mission together with Soap and some others. *Both of you didn't know that'd be the last time you'd laugh.* The both of you sat together, facing each other while eating and speaking casually. "Y'know, doll. You should smile more." Ghost mentioned, looking into your eyes with that affectional glint in his eyes that he always had when he looked into your eyes. Gods, it was infectious. You couldn't help but laugh and respond, "You think? I've already been smiling sooo much around you that my cheeks hurt." You responded with a teasing and playful tone.

Ghost shook his head as he tried to stifle his amusement in his deep chuckle in that husky voice you've always loved.

Soap then made a mighty entrance through the mess hall doors and approached the both of you with a bubbling smile, "Heyo lasses. What're the two of you chit-chattin' bout before our mission?" Soap smiled, proudly as he rested his hands against the table and was standing, his shoulders hunched a bit while his mask hung off of his neck. "Ah, well, MacTavish. We were talkin' bout our mission and how you're going to need Gaz carrying you over his shoulder." Ghost chuckled as he responded, he was joking of course.

"Aren't the both of you being a bit rash? Our missions today, c'mon." You chimed in, trying to get the two to quit being so giddy of a hostage mission. "I don't want to see the both of you on each other's shoulders." You mentioned with a chuckle before you stood with your tray, having finished eating. You walked over and dumped whatever was left over into the trash before putting the tray on top of the dump lid.

Walking back, you noticed Soap's hand harshly —but playfully— landing onto Ghost's shoulder. Your brow rose before you could hear Soap's teasing yet also scolding voice as he spoke towards Ghost. "Oi, you've got to seal the bag with the lass. I don't want to see you in the future, all depressed and all because you missed on a good person." He huffed. There was a pause from Ghost before his hand raised and his palm was met with the MacTavish's forehead, sending him bit aback before Ghost cleared his throat, "That, can wait. I'd rather wait until the both of us retire." He muttered. Soap was standing back, one of his hands raised and rubbing his forehead before he chuckled, "So you're really planning on settling down, ain't you L.T?"

"Shut it, MacTavish." Ghost groaned before he caught the sight of you walking back. His eyes softened before he stood and moved to dump his tray as well. As he walked back, he didn't go back to his spot but instead came to your side to where you sat down. Ghost reached out and cupped your cheek in his gloved hands and lifted your gaze before he pulled up his balaclava, resting it over his nose as he planted a kiss onto your forehead. You looked up at him with a smile as your hands raised and your fingers gently clung onto his wrists. Ghost was never good with words. He wasn't the type to go on rants, so his actions spoke louder than his voice.

You stood from your seat as you stood by Ghost's side. A smile on your face before Soap was leaned back and had his arms crossed over his chest. "Aren't you two the couple-goal of the base." Soap teased before turning and heading out the doors. The both of you stood there before you were caught up in chuckles and giggles, and Ghost was standing there, embarrassed as his hand just reached down and gently rested onto your waist, holding you close to his side.

Then, the both of you made your way to the deployed transportation for your mission. Gear was in the room before the transportation had arrived, so everyone got their pick in weapons like guns; snipers, rifles, pistols, revolvers and all of that. And knives; switchblades, machetes, normal knives and yeah, you get the point. You grab the weapons you found necessary. Knives in the pockets of your cargo pants, and smaller guns put into your holster while bigger ones were on your back. Ghost walked up to you, putting his hand on your waist as he stood by your side. He leaned down a bit and planted a hiss onto your head through his balaclava as he huffed, "Ready, doll?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." You said. The both of you stood at the door, waiting together while others stood behind and giggles and muttered word about the both of you. They weren't negative, they were actually really positive. About how you guys were genuinely the couple goals of the base. You cleared your throat as he tried clearing your mind. But, there was that stupid embarrassed smile on your lips while your cheeks were turning a soft red. Ghost noticed and grinned, reached a hand over and brushing a piece of hair behind your ear. Your eyes looked over and you had a softening smile painting your lips before you leaned over, pecking Ghost on the cheek through his mask with your lips.

Ghost looked back down at you before he cleared his throat, stifling a chuckle as he took the first step into the arriving transportation. You followed his stride and sat besides him before the others began piling into the helicopter. It was loud, the blades of the helicopter or chopper were as loud as you and everyone else could remember ever since your last mission. In the past, you'd been taken off of missions to get some training in and to rest because of how traumatic it had turned out to be. It was a hostage mission, just like this one.

The last mission you'd gone on had many women, captured and held captive. They were used for reproduction. Constant , most of them were pregnant when they had arrived. There were bodily fluids almost everywhere on the floor. Be it blood, , even urine and feces. God, it might as well been an animal house... The enemies were using these women to build their group. Taking sons while killing daughters. Thankfully, when you guys had arrived, you'd managed to save children, the women and kill the gruesome men who did this.

It had really shaken you up, but Ghost was there to remind you that, they were gone. That, the children and women were saved. The women went straight to the hospital, while children followed them and some of them went to adoption centers and orphanages. *The youngest woman was 6 months pregnant at 14...* Never mind that. That was over, things were saved and resolved. Now, you're here and you need to be strong. For you, for the others, *for Ghost.*

The mission went *Horrible.* You're heavily injured and Ghost has you thrown over his shoulder, as he's heavily breathing. You were bleeding out, two exit wounds in your abdomen from a shooting and a stab wound in the leg. The knife was still in your leg. But, Ghost seemed pretty much unscathed, despite the slash on his arm, it wasn't anything major, just a scratch of a blade cutting the skin and barely making it deeper in. It ripped his sleeve, an open area now. Despite being injured, you held onto your pistol and were making accurate shots on the heads of those who dared chase.

Soap wasn't far, running besides the both of you. The hostages were saved, they were the first sent back. Now it was your guy's turn. Soap ran with a wound in his arm, shot. No exit wound. Thank god. *How the did you get so injured?* You thought as you guys just merely were able to escape, getting to the roof and running to the helicopter. You were quickly thrown inside before Ghost and Soap followed. There wasn't anyone chasing anymore.

You sat back in your seat, blood that could barely be soaked up into your gear was dripping down your torso and from your shoulder. You could feel yourself growing cold. You huffed, biting your tongue before you felt Ghost's arms wrapped around you, pulling you close to him as he looked to your face. "{{user}}! Stay awake. Please." Ghost's voice paused before he spoke again, "Don't you dare die on me." He sounded worried and then your eyes were caught fluttering shut and your breath was shallow. Ghost was tightly holding onto you like he was a lost child.

The helicopter landed and Ghost had you in his arms as he quickly stood and jumped out, rushing towards the medical unit. He was breathing heavily as he shouted, "Nurse?! Doctor!? Someone! We've got a fallen soldier!" He huffed, his voice was no longer soft but hurried and in a demanding tone. Nurses and doctors heads turned before some rushed over and guided him to a bed, where he put you down.

*Beep... Beep...*

The sound was subtle when your eyes blinked open. You had an IV in your arm, while your entire torso and abdomen were tightly bandaged. Your shoulder as well. Your arms had bandages too. You might as well be a damn mummy. Your head turned and spotted Ghost, asleep. He was by your side, his head rested on his folded arm on the side of the medical bed, his other hand was reached out to yours, gently placed over yours. Despite his mask, you could see how his eyes were puffy and red and how there were little tears in the corner of his eyes.
