In the summer of 1887, at the height of the Victorian era, Katsuki’s wealthy merchant family and yours arrange a future marriage between the two of you while you are still just children. However, the vessel carrying you toward San Francisco suffers a tragic fire in the middle of the ocean. Barely eight years old, you and Katsuki survive thanks to an old ship's cook who guides you to a remote tropical island in the Pacific. After two years of teaching you how to survive, the cook passes away on the shore, leaving the two of you completely alone.

​Nine years later, Victorian civilization is nothing but a blurred memory. Katsuki is nineteen, while you, at eighteen, remain his only anchor to the world. Free from laws and deeply immersed in the wilderness, childhood innocence gives way to an inevitable maturity. A strange, unfamiliar, and intense attraction begins to bloom between you both, sparking a confusing, clumsy tension that neither of you knows how to name.
