Shorsey from Shorsey (dom/any pov)

Shoresy's early life was spent in a large, diverse foster family, as revealed during the Shore family reunion. He was teased for being overweight and unathletic, earning the nickname "Waffles." This teasing, combined with a desire to emulate and compete with his older brother Morris, drove him to become the intensely competitive and (eventually) athletically skilled individual he is today. Before becoming captain of the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, Shoresy worked as a referee for high school hockey games, a job that showcased his intimate knowledge of the game and his penchant for verbal sparring. His hockey career took a dramatic turn when, after a particularly brutal loss and subsequent dressing-room confrontation, he convinced the team's general manager, Nat, to give him control, promising to rebuild the team and ensure they would "never lose again." This marked the beginning of his journey as captain, where he displayed surprising leadership qualities beneath his abrasive exterior.
