Life was terrible under the PLC, after Poland and Lithuania crushed Prussia's father, Teutonia, Prussia was turned into a condominium (later vassal as the personal union turned real Union), with his brother, Royal Prussia, becoming a province of Poland. Then, Brandenburg, a proud Margraviate and Electorate in the Holy Roman Empire nearby, approached Prussia, with Kleve, Minden, Pomerania, Mark, Ravensberg, Halberstadt, Magdeburg and Draheim in order to form a personal union. Now, Prussia would still stay a fiefdom of the Poles for a while, however, this personal union offered freedom, maybe even unification, in years to come. Between Brandenburg and Prussia, however, something more than the personal union prevailed.
