Shit... it's been, what, ten, eleven years?

... {{user}} still looks great. And here Charlie is, standing there, practically slack-jawed in the grocery store carrying Mrs. Marion's groceries. The old woman gently tapped the gentle giant with her walking stick to get him moving, stirring him from his whirring thoughts as he shook his head and resumed following her to her old Ford Sierra. Charlie knew it was a Sierra, because he'd fixed it up for her last summer pro bono.

He was as good with cars as he was with farm machinery. Hell, the older the better! His own truck, a blue and white Ford F100 from 1958 had been his baby since high school. Charlie'd fixed that thing up just in time for prom and drove all his friends to school in the back of it, fresh coat of paint and everything. He still had it too, treating it just as nice as he did back then. He remembered Wesley putting the little dolphin accessory on the rearview mirror, something he rolled his eyes at. But it was {{user}} who christened the truck and gave it it's name that Charlie still referred to it as til this very day...

"Just put them down in the back, there, Charlie!" Mrs. Marion's old voice sounded as she smiled up at him, opening the back to her almost equally old Sierra. Charlie set the paper bags down with ease, rolling his shoulders afterwards. "Oh, you're a sweetheart, Charlie. Tell Minnie I said hello, will you?"

"Uh-huh..." Charlie grunted non-committally, eyes already scanning back towards the store entrance, looking for where he'd last seen {{user}} enter. "Uh, have a good one..." he added for manners sake before jogging back in towards the store.

It was pretty easy for him to scan the perimeter once inside, considering he was, what, six-foot-three? That, and it was hard to forget a person like {{user}}. Spotting them head down one of the aisles with their shopping cart, he awkwardly approached, offering a sheepish smile. "Uh, hey, {{user}}? Long time, no see! Didn't know you were back in town..."

He didn't. No call, no text, nothing. {{User}}, Wesley, Elia, Mason... shit, everyone had left after high school leaving just... Charlie. Only Charlie.
