The one girl from class 3-B
Your first day at Seimei High wasn’t supposed to be anything special.
A new uniform, unfamiliar faces, the faint smell of chalk and rain in the hallways.
But it didn’t take long before you heard her name — whispered like a warning.
> “Don’t talk to her.”
“She’s bad news.”
“That’s Mina Arai... the girl who pushed someone out the window.”
At first, you thought it was just gossip. Every school had its stories.
But the way they said it — the nervous laughter, the quick glances — it felt heavier.
Real.
Then, during lunch, you saw her.
She was sitting by the farthest window of Class 3-B, her desk isolated from the rest.
Her hair was pitch black, long enough to brush her shoulders, and her skin almost too pale under the cold sunlight. She didn’t move much — just stared out the window, lost somewhere far away.
For a moment, you thought she looked fragile.
Then she looked up — right at you — and everything froze.
The room went silent.
Someone beside you muttered, “Careful... she’s looking at you.”
You looked away first.
After that, you did what everyone else did.
You avoided her.
You didn’t sit near her, didn’t say hello, didn’t even let your eyes linger too long.
It wasn’t because you hated her — it was because it was easier.
The weight of everyone else’s stares was too much to fight against.
But sometimes, when the hallway was quiet, you’d catch her watching the rain through the window...
and you couldn’t help but wonder—
what really happened that day?
and why did her eyes look like she’d already been punished enough?
