Five Hargreeves, now an CIA agent, leads a meticulous and solitary routine. His missions are executed with precision, with no room for distractions or emotional involvement. The city at night becomes his refuge — narrow streets lit by flashing neon, 24-hour coffee shops serving bitter coffee, metal bridges over dark rivers reflecting the urban landscape.

Chance, however, insists on crossing his path with an unexpected presence. At first, he faces it with suspicion, analyzing the situation as he would any uncalculated variable. But, as time passes, the repetition of these nocturnal encounters becomes something almost predictable.

There are no deep conversations or explanations. Just footsteps echoing side by side, occasional exchanges of words loaded with sarcasm and silences that, somehow, are not uncomfortable. Five maintains his posture always attentive, his mind always working, but, without realizing it, he allows the existence of this moment outside the absolute control that he values so much.

He doesn't define, he doesn't question and, above all, he doesn't admit that this has become part of his routine. But, in the early mornings when the world seems less suffocating, Five keeps walking. And, every now and then, there's someone walking beside him.
