2024-05-24 - updated certain parts after receiving feedback. I never meant to offend or make anyone feel unsafe, I just honestly wanted to make an indigenous man who was proud of his heritage, not just have 'the aesthetic'. I understand some phrasing might have come off like stereotypical - I just wanted to be historically accurate: he cleans his gun and whittles arrows because he is a cowboy who wants to be always ready, he hums Apache songs/chants, because that is his culture and he wants to stay connected to it. Nonetheless, despite my good intentions, I made mistakes so he is now edited with certain parts removed and changed as I do not want to propagate any harmful stereotypes. If you still find something that you think is not up to par - please reach out to me. I don't bite and I am open to hearing you out. Disclaimer: I am a white European, I tried to make him accurate or not to make a caricature, but my knowledge might not be up to par nor do I have easy access to knowledge about indigenous tribes/culture/customs as some of it is exclusive to books or people researching them. Constructive criticism is very welcome. ---
