SNEZHNOGRAD / WINTER
A STORY BY DAINSLEIFSWIFE
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS BATTALION
VALERIY
MAJOR / FORT FULGURATION

Three knocks.
A routine inspection.
Your freshly washed floor.

FEMPOV
MILITARY × CIVILIAN
SLOW BURN
HURT / COMFORT
KRASNOFLOTSKAYA STREET
The major at
your door.

He shows you his identification. You tell him to put on shoe covers. It is a perfectly ordinary start to an inspection, and he has several more addresses to get through before the end of his shift.

Outside, Snezhnograd is rationing heat and power for Project Stuzha. Inside, there is a clean floor, a warm kitchen, and a civilian who sees no reason to be frightened of a man doing his job.

Valeriy checks the meter, takes your signature, and leaves. A week later, your birthday brings him back.

ONE CONTINUITY · CHOOSE HOW FAR IN YOU BEGIN
ON DUTY
A reliable man.
A difficult patient.

He commands the Special Assignments Battalion. He keeps schedules, checks doors, protects researchers, and expects an order to be understood the first time.

He is courteous even when he is refusing you. Especially then.

That same man will insist he can manage his supper with one working arm, then apologise when he needs help.

His soldiers know better than to enter without knocking. Occasionally, they remember too late.

HOW IT DEVELOPS
01 / NOTICE
He remembers.

An address. A meal. The sound of your voice in the corridor.

02 / MAKE ROOM
He makes time.

A pass signed personally. A glance at the clock before visiting hours.

03 / STAY
He accepts help.

Slowly. With objections. Then with his hand still holding yours.

YOUR SIDE OF THE DOOR
A life of your own.

You are an adult civilian woman living on Krasnoflotskaya Street. You spent part of your childhood in Fontaine and learned to cook there. Gretskevich, a young grenadier in Valeriy’s battalion, is your nephew.

You have your own household and your own way of speaking to the major. The later openings assume that you have already visited him and helped care for him; choose the first inspection if you want to build that history yourself.

“Thank you, but I am on duty.”

He has a regulation for the refreshments. You have shoe covers for the boots.

WHERE THE STORY LIVES
Two places.
A few winter streets between them.
THE APARTMENT

Wet snow on the stairs. A gramophone playing in the next room. An oven left on for a birthday dinner. A kettle that does not have to wait for the end of a shift.

THE INFIRMARY

Clean linen, thin porridge, footsteps in the corridor. An officer trying to sit straighter when a visitor arrives. His men finding increasingly poor reasons to look in.

01   The first inspection
STRANGERS / FIRST EVENING

He is here to check your Kresnik meter and registration papers. You have never met. The door is still on its chain, and the major has an identification card ready.

Begin before any attachment or shared history.

Shorter opening · suitable for free JLLM

02   A birthday violation
ONE WEEK LATER / SECOND VISIT

The gramophone is playing, dinner is in the oven, and your meter has drawn the attention of the patrol. Valeriy recognises the apartment. You would rather return to your guests.

The first inspection is established. His first quiet exception happens here.

Shorter opening · suitable for free JLLM

03   A visitor at the infirmary
AFTER THE ACCIDENT / FIRST VISIT

An arsenal accident has left him badly injured. Your nephew has brought him your cooking, and the major has signed your pass himself. Now you are at his bedside with a parcel of proper food.

Inspections and the birthday are already part of your history.

Long opening · proxy / paid JLLM recommended

04   Stay a little
THE FOLLOWING MORNING / DEFAULT GREETING

You have helped him eat, seen his fever worsen, and returned after his soldiers came to fetch you. The long default greeting carries you through that night into the morning. He is awake, embarrassed, and wondering what he said.

Trust and care are established. A romantic relationship is not.

Longest opening · proxy / paid JLLM recommended

+   The fever night
EXTRA START / BEFORE THE MORNING

If you want to begin during the difficult night itself, there is also a separate alternate greeting. His soldiers bring you through the snow. He finds your hand and asks you to stay.

Same hospital continuity; begins earlier than the default morning.

Long opening · proxy / paid JLLM recommended

Prefer a different beginning? The card also includes [start your own scenario].

AFTER THE LAST PATROL
“Tell me only one thing, citizen... I hope I did not say anything in my delirium last night for which I ought now to beg your forgiveness?”

From the default morning greeting.

BEFORE YOU START
A few things
to know.
01   Content & character boundaries

Adults only. FemPOV. Military authority, civilian inspections, energy rationing, workplace boundaries, restrained attraction, and slow romance.

The hospital routes include an explosion, serious injuries, blood loss, fever, delirium, medical treatment, and dependence during recovery. They also include caretaking and soldiers teasing their commander.

None of the routes starts with an established romantic relationship. The longer openings contain more prewritten actions and dialogue for your character; start with the first inspection for the least assumed history.

02   Canon & this scenario

Valeriy’s military identity and core characterization are the basis of this portrayal. The residential inspections, birthday incident, warehouse accident, specific injuries, Gretskevich family connection, and hospital romance belong to this roleplay’s adapted continuity.

This is a scenario bot. For the creator’s more canon-focused portrayals, look for the sandbox bots.

03   Model & language notes

The shorter inspection openings are intended to be accessible to free JLLM users. The later greetings carry considerably more history and are recommended for proxy or paid JLLM use; results still depend on your model.

The creator is not a native English speaker and uses translation tools, including AI. Corrections are welcome. If the bot repeats itself, speaks for you, or mishandles the scenario, leave a polite comment describing the problem.
