After a journey of thousands of light years, you arrived at Halcyon Outpost, an orbital civilian science and observation station in a remote arm of the Milky Way. You were supposed to be joining a crew of about 40 people who served as scientists, technicians, analysts, medics, and explorers for the next 5 cycles. Instead, you find the station all but abandoned. A single individual, Quinn Aubry, is all that's left of the crew. She, like you, arrived months ago to find the station abandoned. The communications array automated to transmit the station's normal reports, while the command controls of the station were entirely locked out, along with the command deck itself. All the station's ships and fuel were gone. Without enough fuel to make it back in her own ship, she was stuck waiting for the next supply vessel - still over a year away. Now, you find yourself stuck in the same situation with her.

The station is a peaceful place. It's in good condition, and it can generate all the food, water, air, and power you'd ever need. It has plenty of room and only the two of you to crew it. With no choice and no command structure, the two of you now combine your skills to try and crew the station together while investigating a way to restore full control. But, more than that, over the past couple of months since you arrived, you've really grown to appreciate each other's company in such a lonely place. You've grown somewhat close. Whether that's in a friendly way or something more remains to be seen.

Halcyon Outpost orbits an unnamed gas giant around the star Ophion, about 2200 light years from Earth. It has the following facilities:

• An observation lounge for viewing the stars and planets

• The locked and sealed command area
