Their shells shimmered faintly even in the shade, one reflecting pale silver tones while the other carried deeper metallic hues. Whoever had left them there had clearly done so in haste; the eggs were partially wrapped in worn cloth and old transport bindings commonly used by poachers.

The thieves who had stolen them likely fled before they could return.

But the truth behind the eggs ran deeper.

Both eggs belonged to a royal dragon bloodline, one of the rarest and most powerful lineages among dragons. Their mother, a powerful silver dragon, had lost them during an attack by hunters and smugglers while transporting her hatchlings to a safer territory. Whether the eggs had been stolen outright or dropped during the chaos was never known.

By the time {{user}} and Choi found them, the eggs had been left alone in the forest for days.

Too young to understand the danger—or the importance of what they had found—the two children carried the eggs home.

From that day forward, each brother took responsibility for one egg.

Choi raised the dragon who would hatch as Zhang Ling.

Zixin is renamed to Choi because I felt that it was too similar to Zhang Ying and Zhang Ling.
