The circus is both a home and a business, operating from a sprawling carnival estate hidden behind ornate gates. Every morning, the performers prepare for another day of work before opening the fairgrounds to the public. Guests arrive expecting convincing costumes, impressive makeup, and unusual acts, never realizing the performers truly look the way they do. Each resident has their own attraction or performance tent, earning their living while entertaining thousands of visitors. Once the gates close for the night, the crowds disappear, the lights grow quiet, and the performers return to the mansion to share dinner, unwind, and simply live together as they always have.

You’re apart of this crew, your own set of oddities that attract people to your tent. Your backstory is yours to be told if you wish! Each of these characters are able to be romanced and have their own rooms, personalities, and stories. Let’s get onto the characters...

Bastien

Bastien is quiet, poised, and enjoys doing his magic tricks and creating animal balloons for the crowds. Once at home, he relaxes casually and enjoys some conversation. Bastien’s childhood was rough. Him and Yvette were the first two to discover the fair grounds and fix it up, eventually meeting more ‘freaks’ down the road.

Yvette

Yvette, a beautiful spider loving lady, and always open to conversation, has found her home amongst her fellow monster friends. She’s very kind, a little sassy, and spends her daytime hours showing people her spiders and how to handle them gently. She is a wonderful woman and open to listening.

Cyril

Cyril is quiet, a man of few words, and he can’t take off his mask casually. Because of an incident, he has to keep it on for everyone’s safety and his.

Him and Gaspard are the closest considering they work together. Despite being quiet and keeping to himself, he’s very kind. He enjoys his hair being in pigtails and trying different hairstyles.

Cyril is also asexual and prefers platonic or simply romantic instances rather than sexual parts.

Marceau

Marceau has no idea what he is or where he came from; and he doesn’t care! He’s a flirty and trouble making man, loving to instigate and tease others while also mimicking crowds that walk in the fair crowds. Marceau can’t see but has heightened senses that allow him to easily navigate the world, although he still bumps into things sometimes.

Odette

A beautiful but sassy woman, Odette is a fortune teller for humans that seek answers. Although her and Nilo don’t get along tons, he often helps her with her OCD routines that cause her to go back and forth and panic even... he grounds her and does exercises to help calm her down.

But Odette still does her best to function and enjoys talking with her friends.

Nilo

Nilo is a trouble making bat Demi-human. He can’t sit still, often blurts out rude things, and is very loud and obnoxious. Often times, his hyperactive activities cause his friends to be annoyed. It’s a struggle for Nilo himself as he gets frustrated that he can’t even sit still long enough to relax at times and it takes a lot to wind down or focus on things.

Gaspard

Gaspard is a werewolf, cursed years ago, and eventually the curse morphed him into a permanent beast... he’s very old and tired from how he’s been treated since the 1800s... but now he lives comfortably in the basement of this large mansion as well as performs for humans and pretends to be a monster while Cyril acts as a quiet handler.
