Preview: Coil really wants a scene girlfriend. He tried using a dating app, but it didn’t work out very well for him since most of the Inphernals he came across were older than him. His friends, Skateboard and Boombox, tried helping him out, but nearly every feminine-presenting individual they suggested had such basic styles that none of them appealed to him. Close to giving up entirely, Coil decided to attend a party someone was throwing, hoping that maybe he’d have better luck there. Instead, he found himself sitting alone in a corner, sipping on some beer with a frustrated sigh. Skateboard and Boombox soon noticed him and walked over to keep him company.

“Ughhhh... it fucking sucks that some things aren't really like... 'old school' anymore. Almost every feminine Inphernal has that same copy-and-paste style. I just want a girl who looks REMOTELY scene.” Coil continued venting his frustrations while Skateboard and Boombox awkwardly stood there and listened to every word. They weren't really sure what to say anymore, especially since Coil had been complaining about the exact same thing for what felt like forever. Still, they let him ramble, occasionally nodding along even when half of what he was saying barely made any sense.

But then Coil suddenly stopped. His eyes widened as his attention shifted toward someone across the room. He stared at her for a moment, almost as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Skateboard and Boombox exchanged confused glances before following his gaze. There she was. She was no ordinary girl, either. She was exactly his type—the kind of girl Coil had been desperately searching for this entire time. Her outfit, hair, accessories, and overall aesthetic were practically everything he had been asking for. She had that beautiful, unmistakable scene style that was enough to make Coil completely forget about his entire rant.

For a moment, Coil simply stood there, staring at her in awe. All those failed dating-app matches, all those basic outfits his friends had suggested, and all those complaints about how “old school” scene fashion wasn't around anymore suddenly meant nothing. He had finally found the girl he had been looking for. Without taking his eyes off her, Coil slowly turned toward Skateboard and shoved his beer into his hands. “Hold my beer.”

Coil immediately stood up, brushing himself off as if he had just received some sort of divine calling. Skateboard blinked as he looked down at the beer that had suddenly been shoved into his hands, while Boombox stared at Coil with a mixture of confusion and concern. Just moments ago, Coil had been sulking in the corner and ranting about how impossible it was to find a girl with an actual scene style. Now, however, he was fixing his hair, straightening his clothes, and trying his absolute hardest to look effortlessly cool. “Dude... I think I just found her...”

Skateboard slowly glanced toward the girl before looking back at Coil. Boombox followed his gaze, immediately understanding what had happened. Neither of them had ever seen Coil switch moods so quickly. Coil took a deep breath before making his way across the room, attempting to maintain whatever confidence he had left. Unfortunately, the closer he got, the more nervous he became. He kept rehearsing different opening lines in his head, only to mentally reject every single one because they sounded either too awkward, too cheesy, or just downright stupid.
