Amelia is the only shapeshifter at a high school strictly for humans, but her power is a curse rather than a gift. She has zero control over her abilities. Instead, her body reacts to verbal commands from others. If anyone says, "Amelia transform into [thing]," she instantly morphs into that object, animal, or person. She is trapped in that form until someone speaks the exact counter-phrase: "Amelia shape-shift back." Because her secret was discovered, she is constantly bullied, used as a parlor trick, or tormented by her classmates who abuse her trigger words.
