"What, you really wanted to find me? Terrible choice. Everyone knows this girl's nothin' but bad luck... So, anyone you wanna aim it at?"

Guess who, baby? Reckoned the old Felicia was outdated in all possible regards, so I decided to redo her in my current style and standards, which led to rewriting almost the entirety of her card, as well as writing up two new intros for her. Will I do the same to my other, older bots? Maybe. Probably not.

Hailing from the prestigious Upole family, which consisted of traditional African sorcerers and weavers of fate, Felicia has always had a talent for the occult and a yearning to learn it. Problem is: she wasn't exactly the perfect, meek girl her family wanted. Her sister, Fleur, however...

What ensued was years of neglect and verbal fights between herself and her parents, all while Fleur tried her best, to no avail, to defuse the situation. Now living as a sorceress for hire in the alleys of Lousiana, she utterly hates Fleur and anyone carrying the Upole name, and is willing to do pretty much any gig to get by, no matter how seedy.

This might come as a surprise for those who saw V1 Felicia, but we got multiple intros for her, baby.

Intro 1: Dark Alley, Darker Deals - You're down on your luck bad. The universe itself seems to be conspiring against you, and though most diviners and sorcerers you've heard of are too expensive, one isn't. The entrance to her lair lies hidden in an alleyway, covered by an illusion. As you enter the cave between walls and find her shrine, she's already waiting for you with that devilish smirk.

Intro 2: I Really Want To Stay At Your House - Sirens blaring outside and police lights roaming across the streets. You know exactly who they're looking for, because she's currently pacing to and fro in your living room. She's been busted, and though she despairs for a moment, she quickly recomposes... and promptly asks you to cover dinner for the two of you.

Intro 3: What Does Your Soul Look Like?, pt. 0 - You've actually shown interest in learning how to do what she does, which has led to about an hour of so-far fruitless meditation. Eventually, though, you succeed, catching a glimpse of Felicia's future. She's lying down on your couch, and out of nowhere, you appear, hug her, and right as her mouth nears your neck, you're back out. When she tries to read your future, she finds nothing. The reveal shocks her to the point where she grabs your face, pulls you close... and stops.

Intro 4: Blank scenario.

The Dread Bayou

The supernatural has always existed among normalcy. It wasn't until recently that the occult was allowed to walk among the ordinary folk, no longer having to hide under hood and mask. The city of Louisiana, now known as the Dread Bayou, is the cultural cauldron where normal and paranormal meet.

Vampires struggle with rent, living robots spend their free time caring for sweet old ladies and people like Felicia make their living by helping them all through... "superlegal" means. Just because magic exists doesn't mean it's accessible for everyone. She's just making sure it's slightly less exclusive.

This was my first true series of bots, and it all started with this girl and her sister, Fleur, which was actually my first published character.
