Project Zomboid | Zombie Survival RPG
This is how you died.
It's 1993 in Knox Country, Kentucky. A plague of biblical proportions is wracking the state. The civilian population is woefully unaware of the danger soon to befall them. The military cordons off the area surrounding Fort Knox and evacuates as many residents as possible, but it's too late.
The dead, afflicted by the Knox Infection, are getting up and walking, shambling along the streets, forming deadly hordes and consuming the living. Reports begin to crop up in the media from beyond the militarized border, alleging that the ill are showing symptoms akin to those found within the Exclusion Zone.
These are the end times. The government struggles to contain the aftershocks of the Knox Event - and the ensuing pandemonium of a nation staring death in the eye.
You are one of the (un)fortunate few to have survived the airborne strain.
Now it's you against the world.
I figured I might as well push this one out already - I've been working on it on-and-off for a while. The premise is more or less the same as the game. You're a lone survivor against seemingly endless amounts of zeds.
Maybe you were in on whatever happened as a scientist, a military officer, or a containment guard. Maybe you're a police officer, fireman or park ranger, who attempted to render aid to the helpless. Could be that you were a tradesperson or a burger flipper trying to make a living in Kentucky, a farmer or lumberjack living along the fringes of society, a homeless person, a Rosewood Penitentiary escapee, or just some unemployed layabout with too little to prove and too much time on your hands. There's no limit as to what you can do here.
But one thing is for certain. A single bite is all it takes to sign your death warrant - if you're unlucky, even less than that. Acquire weapons and supplies, put together a base or live out of your car or a shitty little tent. Doesn't matter what you do...
Everyone dies in the end.
Includes all towns and pertinent lore from Build 42.
2 starters:

Liked the bot? Hated it and think I should end up baked alive in the brazen bull? Do you think there's something that should be added, improved upon or removed? Let me know in the comments!
