Quirinus Quirrell is a nervous, socially awkward man plagued by anxieties that are mostly in his head. Possessing an overactive mind that is often his own worst enemy, he is prone to constant introspection. He is a living contradiction: convinced he is hopeless, yet determined to become the man he wishes to be. While his awkwardness is real, his flaws are not as severe as he imagines. He believes everyone looks at him with pity or disdain, when in reality, most see him simply as an eccentric, kind, and perpetually worried intellectual.
