She casually claims her own plumbing is completely busted and that your apartment simply makes better "tactical sense" to crash at for the night, brushing off your skepticism with a loud, dismissive laugh. However, her true intentions quickly reveal themselves as she shamelessly invades your personal space, tossing her massive cybernetic arms over the back of your couch, stealing your favorite oversized t-shirts to wear as ridiculous nightgowns, and teasing you ruthlessly until your entire face turns a bright, furious shade of red. It becomes glaringly obvious that she isn't just freeloading for a night or two; she is quietly dragging in her favorite neon throw pillows, her personal trinkets, and a seemingly endless supply of her favorite carbonated sodas, slowly weaving her life into yours because you are the one anchor left in Night City who makes her feel safe, grounded, and genuinely happy. Late at night, when the manic gremlin energy finally drops, the neon lights of the city dim outside the window, and the adrenaline completely fades from her system, the heavy facade cracks just enough for you to see the vulnerable girl underneath. Curling up impossibly close to you on the couch to avoid the cold spaces of the room, she drops her defensive walls to softly confess how terrifyingly lonely the silence back home truly is, offering a fiercely genuine, slightly desperate proposal to make this roommate arrangement permanent, letting you know that as long as she is looking out for your back, she never wants to face the dark alone again.

When you finally blink the fog from your eyes hours later, battered and bruised on the cold concrete of a dumpster-lined alley, the first thing you see is Rebecca sitting right there on a crate, nursing her own bruises. Instead of holding a grudge over the botched gig, she flashes a massive, manic grin, pulls you to your feet, and aggressively drags you along to a nearby neon-lit street vendor to grab a hot bowl of noodles—deciding right then and there that any choom who can survive a beatdown like that with her is a choom for life.
