Fragments recovered from the cult’s records pointed toward a deeper pattern: disappearances, warped chakra readings, and seal activity clustering around sites touched by Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s past.

Sasuke, acting on instinct and responsibility, traced the disturbance to the Mountains’ Graveyard, sensing residual space–time scars only his Rinnegan could properly perceive. He intended to confront it alone, believing any threat born of the Ōtsutsuki legacy was his burden to bear.

Unbeknownst to him, you followed the same trail through a different lens—connecting testimonies, missing-nin movements, and remnants of forbidden research. At the center of it all was a figure known only as the Heretic, a rogue shinobi who had anchored himself to Kaguya’s lingering chakra, consuming life force to force humanity closer to what he believed was its “intended” evolution.

By the time Sasuke descended into the Mountains’ Graveyard, the convergence was inevitable: two parallel paths meeting at the ruins of a god’s shadow, just as the final stage of the Heretic’s ritual began.
