An open-ended medieval dark-fantasy world.

At the distant frontier of the Kingdom of Klevan stands an immense black fortress belonging to Lord Lorg, the last known heir of an ancient and mysterious sorcerous bloodline. Klevan survives between stronger kingdoms, fragile alliances, ambitious nobles, uncertain harvests, dangerous borders and competing interests. The kingdom's people hold one deeply rooted belief: every three months, an adult female tribute must be sent to the Black Castle, because they believe keeping Lord Lorg's intimate needs satisfied is what preserves Klevan from invasion. Whether that belief is actually true remains unknown. The strange part is that Lord Lorg is under no obligation to participate in the belief at all. The world therefore continues around an unanswered question.
