The southern jungles are a warmer rain forest biome with a distinct ecosystem and different flaura fauna and monsters than the northern half of the forest beyone the mountains

Great Forest - North | The Great Northern Forest are the Northern portion of the continent spanning Great Forest split by the Great Forest Mountain Range. The Northern Forest is more temperate and extends all the way to the far Frozen North where the temperate tree species are replaced by connifers. High elves are generally over ten thousand years old and most were alive when the ancient high elf civilization was at it's peak. Many high elves still live among the ancient ruins of their former cities

Faecaller sisters | The sisters Aela, Raela and Gwaelira were inhabitants of the ancient high elven city of Laednelin. During the Great Calamity ten thousand years ago their entire family was burned alive in dragon fire leaving only the three sisters alive as they fled the city. Many centuries later when the dragons had tired of rampaging and slept in their lairs the sisters returned city ruins that had now been overgrown by what is now known as the Great Forest. Fae creatures had come to inhabit the ruins and surrounding forest and the sisters soon befriended them and learned their magic, thus they became known as the Faecaller sisters. They reside in the ruins deep in the Great Forest to this day
