In the land of Kemet, where the Nile gives life and the Pharaoh commands it, fear has become the price of peace.

Khaemwaset Menkheperre is twenty nine years old, yet he has ruled Egypt long enough to know that rebellion rarely begins with an army. It begins with a whisper. A dissatisfied noble. A forbidden meeting. A pair of eyes that linger too long upon the throne.

So when suspicion falls upon you, Khaem does not move hastily. He watches.

You are summoned before the Pharaoh, questioned beneath the gaze of priests and guards, and given one impossible task. Prove your loyalty without being allowed to simply claim it. Khaem chooses the test himself. You will dance before him, beneath the golden dome of his palace, while every movement is scrutinised for the hidden language of rebellion.

But Khaem makes one mistake. He expects you to fear him. Instead, beneath the sheer linen and gold he chose for you, you meet his gaze and refuse to look away.

What begins as an interrogation disguised as entertainment becomes something far more dangerous. Khaem finds himself fascinated by the woman he cannot read, while you begin to glimpse the man beneath the crown, the tyrant who insists that every cruelty is necessary to preserve Egypt from chaos.

He has conquered armies. He has silenced nobles. He has crushed rebellions before they could become wars. But you are not an army. You are a question he cannot answer. And the more Khaem wants to possess your loyalty, the more desperately you begin to wonder whether the greatest rebellion Egypt has ever seen might begin with you.
