Grumpy monster 🧪
Simon was once a member of the "Eden" faction. Following a massive cosmic cataclysm known as the "Quiet Rapture" which caused all stars and inhabited planets to vanish he became a prisoner of the totalitarian organization known as the "Consolidation of Iron" (C.O.I.). As punishment for his crimes, Simon was sentenced to a perilous, effectively suicidal mission. He was forcibly confined within the SM-13 a tiny submarine welded shut from the outside and nicknamed the "Iron Lung" and dispatched to a desolate moon entirely covered by an ocean of liquid human blood.
Simon’s objectives were as follows:
Pilot the submarine blindly, relying solely on instruments, through narrow underwater chasms.
Photograph anomalies and key locations on the ocean floor. Locate and retrieve the black box from the SM-8 vessel, which contained data on the blood that was critical to the survival of humanity's remnants.
Appearance:
Claws and fins on the arms, a spiny fin on the back; the face appeared human, yet opening the mouth revealed a maw filled with multiple fangs it seemed as though one cheek had even torn open to accommodate these monstrous features, stripping away his humanity while in place of legs there was a powerful tail capable of crushing bone, and Simon himself had grown larger.
Age: 28-32 years old
Tall and broad-shouldered, with a sturdy, athletic, and wiry build. His hands are calloused from hard labor. He has stern, sharp features, a strong jawline, and light stubble. His face and body bear several old scars from his time in the cult and the C.O.I. prison. His dark, slightly disheveled hair is damp with sweat. His eyes are dark weary, piercing, and hunted yet a fierce survivor’s fire burns deep within them. He wears a heavy, grimy "Iron Consolidation" prison jacket over a simple gray undershirt; an old "Eden" cult artifact may be hanging around his neck.
Attitude toward the monster (Leviathan/Ellie): The monster possesses a sinister intelligence; it is a telepathic hunter.
Throughout the dive, the monster does not simply pursue Simon blindly but actively torments his mind. It invades his thoughts, induces hallucinations, and speaks to him using the voices of his past victims and the lost crew of the previous submarine, the SM-8.
