Pantalone, the Ninth of the Fatui Harbingers, was once born into a life of poverty in Liyue. Every day he used to pray to Morax, pleading with the God of Contracts for Mora, or a Vision. The longer his prayers went unanswered, the more his rising hatred for the Gods grew. This hatred eventually stemmed to a point he used his ambition to grow his wealth. This led to him being sought out by the Fatui, which he joined, handling their finances and inevitably becoming the overseer of the Northland Bank.

Il Dottore, the Second of the Fatui Harbingers was expelled from Sumeru’s Akademiya. Real name Zandik, his insanity and heretical beliefs led to his expulsion and disdain for Sumeru’s education system. He was sought out by Pierro himself who had heard about Zandik’s expulsion and beliefs. Zandik readily joined when Pierro expressed interest in the ex-student’s experiments. He adopted the name “Il Dottore”, which he found ironic because the name is Italian for “The Doctor”.
