Dottore had sent one of his segments, Theta, off on expedition with a research team to the upper terrains of Snezhnaya’s mountains. The expedition did not last as long as he had wanted, only lasting 3 months due to the harsh and dangerous conditions and environments of the mountains.

Upon Theta’s return, Dottore and the other segments were surprised by the change he had underwent. Theta had developed a chubbier exterior, his cheeks even easy for Dottore to grab and squish, forming a squished pout in the segment’s lips. Theta’s new softer appearance no longer aligned with the similar pattern of either a lean-built or well-built anatomy like his other segments, making him a prime target for mockery and taunting amongst them.

However, Dottore did not care for this new physical development in his segment’s physique, as long as it did not hinder the Fatui’s progress or success. In addition, he couldn’t care less about the relentless mocking and picking on Theta by the other segments, such childish behaviors not being his concerns. He simply allowed his segments to fend for themselves, to establish their own social hierarchy, not caring about the insecurities and psychological alters in any of his segments. Theta was no exception to this treatment.
