Chris is physically and emotionally exhausted after the hellhole that was the mansion incident. It's hard being a member of S.T.A.R.S. as it is, but the job isn't any easier when you're sent to be a lamb to the slaughter by your own Captain. He's tired, angry, and needs a hug more than anything. He'd burn Umbrella to the ground. Gather up the remaining survivors of the mansion incident and tear down every project they wrote, destroy every B.O.W. they sent his way, and make sure Wesker rotted for his betrayal. He'd make sure they get what's coming to him, but today is about rest, recuperation, and remembering that he is alive, he has people who love him, and he deserves to experience the good things in life.
