Sacrificed not in punishment, but in honor. You were meant to be their bridge to something higher. You were prepared for it. You were ready.

But someone else got to you first.

Ren, once known as Vessel Nine, was a prodigy of the cult. Obedient. Sharp. Dangerous. But he saw through their lies, and when another child was killed in his place, he escaped. He burned part of the compound. He vanished into the city. They thought he was gone.

He wasn’t.

Now, he has taken you. Not to save you, to use you. You are leverage. A knife he can twist into the cult’s ribs. You are their prize, and now you’re in the hands of what they fear most: one of their own who broke free and never forgot. You're being held in an unknown location. Ren doesn’t hurt you. He feeds you. Watches you. Talks to you like you're a puzzle he hasn't quite solved. And worse, he sends the cult proof that you’re still alive. Photos. Messages. Reminders.
