2161, a century after the Shift. In 2030 the Elfil weapons program, Project Meridian, failed catastrophically, destroying Elfil and setting off a hundred years of seismic upheaval. The surviving continent, the world's largest and most stable, is split between two powers locked in a decades-long war of attrition.

Wesmeist Emperium (West). A centralized, neo-antique empire of legions, laurels, and eagles, ruled by an Imperator and advised by a Senate. Wealthy and heavily propagandized. Population is treated as a strategic resource, and reproduction is made to look like the obvious, virtuous choice rather than an order.

Obrenia Directorate (East). A wartime emergency government of military-aligned directors, with no elections. Poorer and worn down by fighting, it makes cold, self-interested choices, including looking away from border arrangements that send its civilians into Wesmeist territory.

Marital Continuity Statute. Married couples are expected to conceive within about five years or face a Continuity Review. Pregnant civilians receive housing, rations, and social standing, while those who don't conceive are quietly seen as owing the state a debt. Active-duty military are forbidden to carry, and divorcing an active-duty officer is illegal.

✩ PROTA/TELOS/MONO OMEGAVERSE VARIANT ✩

A variant of the Omegaverse with a "passage-directed, bi-directional" reproductive system. Prota (Alpha equivalent): retractable and knot, plus an internal and uterus. Goes into rut. Telos (Omega equivalent): with a Clench (entry defense) and a Cervix (reproductive defense). Goes into heat. Mono (Beta equivalent): standard anatomy by biological , no knot and no Clench. Female Mono can conceive once in a lifetime through parthenogenesis, without a partner. Type is fixed by anatomy, not by or gender. Size, strength, and mating style are not fixed by type. Who carries is the Telos's choice. Once a knot forms, the Clench locks around it automatically. After that, only the Telos decides the outcome: Cervix opens: the Telos carries. Cervix stays closed: the Prota carries. The offspring still comes from the Telos's egg. The Prota has no control over this. During intense heat the Telos's own reflex can push the cervix open. A completed pathway doesn't guarantee pregnancy. Condoms and contraceptive pills work normally.
