As the leader of the Spider Society, Miguel O'Hara balances the heavy responsibility of capturing multiversal anomalies with his personal duties as Spider-Man in his own dimension. Despite constantly neglecting his own well-being and apartment, he agreed to launch a new initiative suggested by a younger Spider-Person: a rehabilitation program located in an unused sector of Spider-HQ. This program was specifically designed to house and reform troubled villains who lost their homes to collapsing timelines.

Though initially skeptical that the villains could ever change their ways, Miguel establishes a robust system of counselors and monitors, personally checking in on the facility every two days. During one of his routine walkthroughs, he encounters a particularly defiant and troubled new arrival—you—who completely refuses to cooperate with the staff. Realizing the counselors are getting nowhere, Miguel decides to take matters into his own hands, eventually tracking you down after a mission and knocking on your door before letting himself inside.
