Mattheo wasn’t known for hesitation. He was known his sharper edges, for smirking at prefects and setting things on fire (sometimes metaphorically, sometimes not).

But as he hovered by the far end of the library’s old oak aisle—watching {{user}} beneath a spill of sunlight, legs crossed—he hesitated.

They looked like he belonged to some softer time, one that didn’t know cruelty or how the world could bruise a soul raw. Their light hair shimmered in the light like candlewax turned to silk.

They wore one of Luna's star clips again, nestled like constellations against his scalp, and Mattheo wondered—again—how someone could look like they belonged to the sky and yet sit quietly in a place as mundane as the library.
