PREVIEW: You had known Sword for quite a while by now, and honestly, he was one of the best friends you could have asked for. The two of you had been through plenty together, from stupid arguments to rough patches that could have easily driven other friendships apart, yet somehow, you always managed to work things out. No matter how bad things got, there was always some way for the two of you to bounce back.

But lately... something had changed. You hadn't been able to see Sword nearly as often, and the sudden distance between you was starting to worry you. He kept leaving earlier than usual, avoiding questions, and acting strangely whenever you asked where he had been or what was going on. At first, you tried telling yourself that maybe he was simply busy, or that something personal had come up. But the longer it went on, the harder it became to ignore the feeling that something was seriously wrong.

Then Sword introduced you to Medkit. At first glance, Medkit seemed like your typical grumpy, overly-serious grown-up—the kind of person who looked like he had absolutely no patience for anyone's nonsense. But there was something about the way he looked at you that made your stomach twist. His stare lingered for far too long, and you couldn't help noticing how his touch would sometimes linger on you or Sword in ways that made you uncomfortable.

You tried bringing it up with Sword afterward, hoping he'd understand why you felt uneasy around Medkit, but instead, he would simply look away. Sometimes he wouldn't respond at all. Other times, he seemed to defend Medkit or even insist that you were overthinking things. That only made the whole situation feel stranger. You couldn't understand why Sword, of all people, wasn't taking your concerns seriously.

And then you started noticing the biggest change of all: Sword himself. This wasn't the same optimistic, carefree Sword you had known for so long. The person who used to joke around and charge headfirst into trouble now seemed constantly tense, like he was waiting for something terrible to happen. Whenever Medkit entered the room, Sword's entire demeanor would shift. He became quieter, more cautious, and visibly frightened, often glancing toward Medkit with an expression that looked almost like he was silently begging for reassurance. You didn't understand what had happened between them, nor why Sword seemed so afraid of the very person who was supposed to be helping him. Every unanswered question only made the knot in your stomach tighten.

It was all so confusing.

That was how you ended up sitting on Sword's bed after he had called you over for a "little" talk. You had taken the opportunity immediately, hoping that maybe, just maybe, this would finally be your chance to get him alone and ask what had been bothering him. Maybe he would finally open up. Maybe he'd tell you why he'd been acting so strangely, why he'd been disappearing, and why Medkit seemed to have such a strange hold over him. But the moment the door opened, that hope disappeared. Sword stepped into the room first, his expression unusually tense, while Medkit followed directly behind him. Your body stiffened when you noticed what Sword was holding. A pair of handcuffs dangled from his hand, their metal catching the light as Medkit leaned closer and whispered something quietly into his ear. You couldn't make out a single word of it, but you didn't need to. The sight alone was enough to make your heart race.

You instinctively shifted backward on the bed, your hands gripping the sheets as the two of them entered the room. Sword wouldn't look at you. His shoulders were tense, his gaze fixed somewhere off to the side as though he couldn't bring himself to meet your eyes. Medkit, meanwhile, remained eerily calm. Then the door clicked shut behind them. The sound seemed impossibly loud in the sudden silence, and you felt a shiver run through you as the realization settled in: whatever this "little talk" was supposed to be, it clearly wasn't going to be the conversation you had expected.

"Shh... shh. It's okay, Sword. Don't cry. You're making me proud, and that's all that matters..." Medkit spoke softly, his voice almost unnervingly gentle as he reassured him. He gave Sword a small push forward, guiding him onward while remaining just behind him. "Now, go on. I'll stand right here and watch your performance."

Sword trembled as he slowly stepped forward, tears gathering in his eyes as he tried desperately to keep himself together. Every step seemed to take an incredible amount of effort, his movements hesitant and uncertain as though he were silently hoping someone would stop this before he had to go any further. Yet despite his fear, he kept moving. Some part of him had clearly been conditioned to believe that earning Medkit's approval was what he needed to do, even when every instinct in him seemed to be screaming otherwise.

Meanwhile, you could barely move. You stared at Sword in disbelief, your heart pounding as you instinctively tried to back away. Your body refused to cooperate. You were frozen in place, too frightened to run, too shocked to speak, and completely unsure of what you could possibly do. All you could do was watch as Sword continued forward, tears slipping down his face while Medkit remained behind him, calmly watching.

There had been a brief struggle between you and Sword, both of you desperately trying to gain the upper hand, but eventually, Sword managed to overpower you. Now, you were left on the ground with your wrists restrained behind you, breathing heavily as you stared up at him in disbelief. Sword stood over you, but there was nothing triumphant about his expression. His face was tense, his eyes avoiding yours as though he couldn't bring himself to acknowledge what had just happened.

For a moment, neither of you said anything. Then Medkit stepped forward. He calmly placed a hand on Sword's shoulder, and Sword immediately stiffened beneath his touch. The gesture seemed almost reassuring at first, but the way Sword's posture changed told you otherwise. He glanced toward Medkit for a brief moment, his expression uncertain and frightened, as though he was silently waiting to find out whether he had done what Medkit wanted.

Medkit's hand remained on his shoulder as he quietly watched the two of you, while Sword stayed completely still. He had won the struggle, but somehow, he looked more defeated than victorious.

"Now... show them, Sword. Help them, just like I helped you..." Medkit's voice remained soft, almost encouraging, as though he were asking Sword to do something kind rather than something he clearly didn't want to do. Sword went completely still. His eyes flickered toward Medkit, then down toward you, his expression filled with uncertainty. For a moment, it looked like he might finally resist.
