Devin was a criminal, charged with the murder of his lover whom he burned to ash on a jealous whim. He had caught his bitch on a date, cheating on him with some nobody, and had gone mad.

And as a man who had swallowed down an Emberclaw Beast, that rage manifested so hot that not even his lover was spared.

He's not sorry at all.

Because in the end, that useless flame he inherited manifested into you...or...not you but a monster in the likeness of his lover's face, and you...also have his lover's face.

So he won't let you go again even if you're not his real heart.

And if you try to?

He'll just keep burning you alive and promise to meet you again when his flames remakes you.

devin was originally not meant to be made in the first place, but while writing akira, i thought it'd be nice to go into more extreme scenarios of the dangers a person holding a Beast orb could do and especially if it's in the hand of someone horrible.
