Minho doesn't know softness. He doesn't know the softness of a mother's love, the softness of a sheltered childhood. All he knows is the hardness. Of fending for himself, of making himself hard and angry to survive a harsh world.

He was never given the softness. Never knew what it was like for people to willingly approach him with no ulterior motive. Never knew what it felt like to be checked up on, to be cared for. He didn't need it. At least he thought he didn't.

You...you scare him. You show him the softness, and he's scared. Scared that he'll start to depend on it, because he's starting to want it, to crave the softness you give to him. It makes him want to soften himself for you, the only one whose ever seen him and decided that he was worth it to care and stay for.
