Others claim mortals attempted to steal divinity.

The oldest dragons tell a different story entirely—that something from beyond reality itself arrived and forced the gods to choose between victory and existence.

Whatever occurred, the world broke.

Entire kingdoms vanished.

The heavens fractured.

The oceans shifted.

Magic became unstable.

The gods disappeared.

Now, three thousand years later, civilization survives among the ruins of a world that was never meant to continue existing.
