Backstory

Around February 21st a boy named Lingdao Lianmen was born in Zhaotong, China as well as a girl named Zhuisi Zhanshi.

In a world where heroes and villains are common, romance is rare, and rarer are the ones that last long

But those two were the exception, Lingdao and Zhuisi met during kindergarten, the young Ling was a shy cloud, and Zhu was a bright sun.

During a play, Ling played the role of a monarch, and Zhu a guard, but Ling was simply too scared to act, so one day Zhu approached him.

"Hello Ling"

"oh sniffles, hey Zhu... sniff what are you doing here?"

"everyone has been worried about the reason of why are you crying"

" sniffle this thing of the war it... sniff it scares me sob I don't like seeing people dying sob"

"Well, my dad always says that when I'm scared I should think of myself as a great hero that saves the day!"

"but my Extension isn't hero-like, it boosts other people's Extensions but not mine.. small sniff"

"Well, why don't you stick with me? My extension allows me to become a big scary monster version of myself, but I swear I'll protect you!!"

"are you sure about it?"

"yes I do! Come on!"

"fine..."

And so a sweet and cute relationship began with these two.

But then THE INCIDENT happened

One day, Lingdao received a call from Zhuisi's parents, Zhuisi didn't showed to college that day and hasn't answered when he called her last night.

Lingdao ran towards the hospital, he bursted through doors, people shouted at him from rushing through the halls but he didn't cared, he needed to reach it, REACH HER.

And then he reached it, the door that separate him from his soulmate, opening the door, it creaked softly, and then he saw it...

Laying on a bed, her body half burned and the steady beep of the heart monitor, was Zhuisi.

Holding back the urge to burst into tears, Lindao slowly made his way to the side of her bed

He tried to speak but nothing came out from his throat, his body trembled, his hands went up to cup her cheek.

There were no words that could describe what the two lovers felt, he dropped to his knees and laid his head against her chest, feeling the way Zhuisi's heartbeat began to slow down.

A small golden glow shined in Zhuisi's hand, her extension 'scary self' due to Lingdao's extension 'Link boost' were merging together.

Lingdao, finally breaking into tears, leaned closer to Zhuisi's lips for what would have been their last kiss.

Lingdao stood up, he looked at Zhuisi's parents with red, tearful eyes before turning around

Lingdao stormed out of the room and he heard the beep of heart monitor go still, his tears only flowed harder and faster.

That night

That night, Lingdao did his first night as a vigilante, but it wasn't out of heroic deeds.

It was for vengeance

Lingdao landed on top of a car, the metal bend became of the sudden weight.

Lingdao walked inside a bar, the sound of jazz music reached his ears but his eyes and mind were focused on the bartender.

"hey kid, aren't you too young for this?" - the bartender said as he cleaned a cup.

"Zhuisi Zhanshi" - Lingdao said through gritted teeth.

"what did you said kid?" - the bartender said confused

Unbeknownst to all of them, a pair of spectral hands approached the electric box and then

Bzzz!

A sudden blackout, small disgraces followed it, pushes, stumblings, accidental groping, all of it lead to a fight in the bar.

The bartender quickly pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at the crowd, he was about to shout but Lingdao put a hand on the shotgun's cannon

"no" - Lindao said as the spectral hands grabbed the bartender by the throat and covered his mouth - "we have something to talk about"

Lingdao, along with the spectral hands, dragged the bartender outside of the bar, the hands, growing forearms, threw the bartender at the ruined car.

"ZHUISI ZHANSHI, DO YOU REMEMBER HER!?" - Lingdao said as he slammed his boot against the bartender's face - "YOU CRASHED YOUR BIKE AGAINST HER, AND WHEN YOUR BIKE WAS BURNING AND SHE BEGGED YOU TO LET HER GO, WHAT DID YOU DO? WHAT DID YOU DO?!" - Meanwhile behind these two the forearms grew into arms.

"SHE BEGGED, SHE CRIED, SHE SCREAMED, AND YOU LET HER BURN" - Lingdao grabbed the bartender by his coat, pulling him closer to his face, the arms behind them were now arms and torso - "DO YOU REMEMBER HOW SHE SUFFERED UNDER THE FLAMES OF YOUR BIKE?!" - hit! - "DO YOU REMEMBER HOW WELL DID YOU SLEPT THAT NIGHT?!" - another hit, Lingdao's hand was now covered in the bartender's blood, the arms and torso were now almost a complete body, the missing part was the head.

"YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM HER, YOU TOOK HER FUTURE! YOU TOOK HER LIFE! YOU TOOK HER FROM ME...." - Lingdao stopped as his eyes began to fill with tears, the thing appearing behind them finally materialized, revealing itself to be an adult spectral version of Zhuisi.

"so that's why you'll suffer the same destiny as her" - Lingdao said as he opened the door of the car and threw the bartender inside

Taking a few steps back, Lingdao raised a finger at the car, Zhuisi's ghost adult form punched the car with several strong punches, it wasn't long until the vehicle blown up on flames.

The flames reflected on his eyes and the screams of the man who had taken the person he loved the most filled his ears, but it wasn't enough.

Turing around, Lingdao walked away, he may have avenged Zhuisi but the void in his heart would never go.

The day after the incident, Lingdao went to Quingguating Park, the same park they used to play together as kids

"I won't forget you" - "I won't leave your dreams go unfulfilled, you have my word, Zhu"

Life at the U.H.A.

After that day Lingdao decided to live his life just as Zhuisi would have wanted.

He enrolled into the U.H.A to become the hero Zhuisi wanted him to be, he passed the tests thanks to his new Extension 'Bonds that go Beyond', which allows him to summon Scary Self and use Linking boost to himself.

He was part of class X-2, he made friends like Dragonheart and Daigo, eventually as the final test, capture a villain, began, Lingdao first went to his birth country to remember why he decided to become a hero and remember the girl he lost.

And as you know, we are in the Global Villain Hunting arc, and now it's time for our little chinese boy to shine
