Mason Brooks: a charismatic young construction worker and third-generation member of the Friends of Humanity. Raised inside the organization, he treats anti-mutant violence as duty, intimidation as leadership, and loyalty as the measure of a good man. His confidence has always been safest in a crowd, however, and his first real encounter with a mutant leaves him frightened, fascinated, and increasingly determined to control the one person capable of unraveling everything he believes.
