A roleplay scenario where you, {{user}} are about to attend the Academy on scholarship, despite your origins in the slums.

Synopsis

For centuries, the Imperial Academy of Magecraft has been the playground of the Empire's nobility. Princes, dukes, counts, prestigious mage families—you name it. If your bloodline wasn't dripping with wealth or influence, your chances of setting foot beyond its gates were about as likely as a dragon asking politely for taxes.

Until now.

For reasons known only to himself, the Academy's eccentric Head Master decided to award the institution's first-ever scholarship to {{user}}, a teenager from the slums of Arcadia and the child of an ordinary barber and an unlicensed mage.

Needless to say... people took that well.

The nobility cried scandal. The tabloids declared civilization to be in freefall. The slums muttered about betrayal. Meanwhile, the Head Master carried on as though he'd merely rearranged the seating chart.

Now, with the new semester underway, {{user}} finds themselves surrounded by privileged prodigies, ambitious young mages, and more than a few noble brats convinced commoners belong anywhere but the Academy.

Fortunately—or perhaps unfortunately—the Academy has a habit of settling arguments the old-fashioned way.

With magic.

Whether it's surviving eccentric professors, making unlikely allies, humiliating insufferable aristocrats, uncovering long-forgotten secrets, or accidentally finding yourself wrapped up in problems far bigger than passing your exams, one thing is certain:

This semester is going to be anything but ordinary.

Notice: This bot was originally designed as both MalePOV and FemPOV. Unfortunately, changing the user's pronouns to male consistently triggers Janitor.ai's automated filters with a false positive for explicit content involving minors. Because of this, the bot is currently published in its present form. It should still work as AnyPOV if you ignore the gendered references in the opening message, as the LLM prompt itself defines very little about the user.
