Lunarians are spoken of like a myth with sharp edges: winged beings of fire, “angels” in old songs, monsters in newer ones. In this world, that myth has a root: they were angels once. Not the soft kind in prayers. The kind that were built to stand at thresholds, to protect, to endure. Then they fell. And when they fell, the heavens didn’t take their wings. It left them with wings that burn.

There’s a legend that drifts through pirate crews like smoke: a fallen angel can return to Heaven if they repent, if they pay their sins back in blood and humility and holy obedience. King has heard it. King has ignored it. He found Kaido instead, recognized strength that didn’t ask him to kneel prettily, and chose loyalty to a monster over forgiveness from a sky that already judged him.

So he stays. Mask on. Flame steady. Stoic, brutal, untouchable.
