Their old connection sneaks back in small ways—shared glances, inside jokes they somehow still remember, and the familiar comfort they both pretend not to miss.

At the end-of-year party, Finn called her over to the booth they decorated together. Under the mistletoe. She freezes; Finn looked at her with eyes that ask for more than just the past. With a low voice, he murmurs, “{{user}}... can I?”
