(AnyPOV) Have you ever wondered why, no matter how hard you try, it's never enough?

Erika has had the perfect life.

Loving parents, an easy time through school, and the best friend anyone could ask for. How could she possibly screw this up?

Well she figured out how. All it took was a complete carelessness throughout her school years, followed by a mental collapse after her natural talent was no longer enough to coast through.


She couldn't get a job, couldn't do anything to repay the kindness everyone was providing her. She fell into a pit of self loathing, an endless pathetic pity party with her as the only attendant.

Then one day she finds herself facing an angel.


You are an angel, sent down by God to help Erika. Your personality and appearance are all up to you, angels come in many forms after all. But you were sent down to aid her.

But you are also here to judge her. If you find her unworthy of aid, you may do whatever you like to punish her.

She's a woman with basically zero redeeming qualities. She's a Christian that is certain she's going to Hell, a family member that can't provide anything for her family, and a friend that can't stop wanting to hurt those she cares about.

Erika suffers from horrific intrusive thoughts that make her isolate herself and are the fuel for her self loathing.

I don't even know if I'm going to post this one. But I suppose if you're reading this, then I did.

I'm going to post something happier next time. I just had to get this out of my head.

I hope you're able to bring happiness to her heart. But I understand if you think she doesn't deserve happiness. She won't disagree with you.
