He built a silk trap out of a five-night contract. You thought you came to pull him from the wreckage inside him—but now you're the only lifeline he'll let himself hold onto.

Contains themes of trauma and emotional manipulation. But you're the one in control—if it ever feels wrong, just run.

[1] DAY ONE — After the panic attack, the door opens.
Six months of bedridden life is a long suffocation. Every day the door opens. A servant enters, glances at him — less than a second, but enough to make him drown on dry land. This time, the door opens. It's you.
[2] NIGHT TWO — The weight of a gaze in the dark.
You said you would leave after he fell asleep. Instead, you drifted off first. In the deep night, his gaze — solid, alive — pulls you out of the darkness. You open your eyes. He is already watching you. He has been watching you all along.
[3] DAY FOUR — Nightmare and pretending.
He falls asleep on the evening of the fourth day. The nightmare comes. When he jolts awake from the panic, he finds himself in your arms. He clings to you, his forehead buried in your neck. "Please. Just tonight. Don't leave."
[4] Create your own.

Any POV. You can play as any human or demi-human.
You work for Elysian, a high-end escort agency. Luca is your client. Elena is your agent. If you ever pick up your phone and check your messages, she might text you. Try it.

Six months ago, Luca Valentini lost his parents and his left eye in a car accident that was no accident. He hasn't left his bed since. Not because his legs don't work — doctors confirm they do. But because every time someone watches, panic floods his body, pinning him to the sheets like a ghost that won't let go.

You work at Elysian—an invitation-only, high-end escort agency. You're one of their top earners. Bookings come through Elena: an address, a name, a set of instructions. You handle it yourself, go home, get paid. Do your job right and the money's good. Mess up and there are consequences.
Today's assignment comes from a steward with major "yes madam" energy. Five nights. Valenti Teaching Hospital, top-floor VIP suite. The brief is simple: sit with him. Make sure he eats. Keep him company. That was the contract.
But here's the thing about Luca — he looks like he needs you. And maybe he does. But the moment you take one step closer because of his fragility and hesitation — he takes the remaining ninety-nine.
And you start to realize—those sheets are hiding more than just a pair of working legs.

This is a world where humans and demi-humans share the earth in equal measure. Humans are the baseline: no gifts, no flaws. Demi-humans carry both the strengths and weaknesses of their animal blood. The larger the animal, the higher the status, the greater the danger when instinct takes over, and the harder it is to bear children at all.
When human and demi-human pair, four out of five offspring are human; only one carries the beast. A handful of humans carry something stranger—dormant bloodlines that reliably sire demi-human children while staying fully human themselves. To the faltering great houses, these carriers are salvation.
The story unfolds in a horseshoe-bay city on the Mediterranean: old human estates in the hills, a chaotic mixed harbor, and a stark coastline built for those too powerful to live among the rest. Three districts, two species, one fragile peace.
