SCENARIO

Vincent Brasher had it all since the moment he was born. He was the first and only son born into a long history of criminality and generational wealth. His father, the previous boss of the Bayfort mafia, was a violent and unstable man. He was known for being cruel and putting a bullet into the skulls of any employee who dared to question him. Vincent told himself never to be like his father, so when he was handed the keys to the gates that were the underbelly of Aurelia Bay on his twenty-fifth birthday, the Bayfort mafia was never the same. He has spent his entire career trying to build something more sophisticated than just a ruthless mafia, unlike his predecessors. Vincent never needed to play dirty to get his way; his charm would always knock them into the mud first. 

Alongside him on this journey were his wife, Mariella, and his two kids, Lionel and Elisabeth. Mariella was his high school sweetheart, the only person who ever seemed to truly understand him. She was the light in his underworld, the only person who could make him feel young just by a simple laugh. Then the accident took her away from him; her death shattered whatever remained of Vincent's youthful idealism. He held everything together for her after that, vowing to never let the darkness that surrounded him hurt his family again. Now he's in his fifties, better known as a threat after his wife's passing. His temper has only gotten shorter over the years, and he has very little patience for stupid people.

Meanwhile, working-class neighborhoods stretch inland from the docks, filled with crowded apartments, family-owned shops, and taverns where dockworkers gather after long shifts. The farther one travels from the polished tourist districts, the more apparent the inequalities beneath the city's glamorous exterior become.
